Bandemath Guru Suicide Case: Court orders three accused to be remanded in police custody for 6 days
In connection with the suicide case of Guru Madivaleshwar Basavalinga Swamiji Swamiji of Sri Kanchugal Bandemath in the district, the court has issued an order to remand the three accused in police custody for six days.
Justice Dhanalakshmi of the Magadi 1st JMC Court has issued an order to remand A1 accused Mrityunjaya Swamiji of Kannur Mutt, A2 accused Neelambike, A3 accused Mahadevaiah in police custody for six days for further investigation.
Ramanagara district police produced the accused before Judge Dhanalakshmi of Magadi 1st JMFC Court. The judge granted the demand of the police and agreed to hand over the accused to the custody of the police. The accused in the case, Dr Mrityunjaya Swamiji of Kannur Math, retired teacher and lawyer Mahadevaiah, the young woman Neelambike (Chandu) who appeared in the honeytrap, were taken to an undisclosed location by the Ramanagara district police for further questioning.
The accused will be in police custody till November 5. Then they will have to appear in court again. If interrogation is required, the police will remand them.
